Accompanied by a number of Korean executives and regional politicians, Kia held the grand opening for its $1 billion manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia this week. The plant, which sprawls over 2200 acres, started producing the 2011 Kia Sorento back in November . Today, the facility employs 1200, and Kia expects to double that number by the end of the year.
